Atmospheric Landscapes

In this series of paintings Steve chooses a soft palette which allows you to relax into the landscape scenes. By not relying on detail, he creates an intimacy and a sense of atmosphere by using subtle elements of color and form. The success of these images is that they evoke a feeling of calm, spaciousness and at the same time a sense of mystery. In 2010 the Hilton Waikoloa Resort in Hawaii selected Sundram's "Atmospheric Landscape" series to be displayed in over one hundred and sixty rooms in their resort hotel.
